Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) is looking for a strategic and effective Head of Marketing to lead a high-performing team and drive marketing outcomes that position Brisbane as a globally recognised destination for business, investment, events, and tourism.
This senior leadership role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of one of Australia’s fastest-growing cities. You’ll deliver bold, integrated marketing activities across domestic and international markets, with measurable impact on brand, reputation, and economic outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary marketing team to deliver creative, high-impact work;
* Develop and execute integrated solutions across business and consumer audiences;
* Champion BEDA’s brand vision, ensuring strong governance across tone, identity and messaging;
* Oversee campaign planning and delivery, driving ROI through data, insights and market research;
* Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver world-class campaigns on time and budget;
* Influence senior stakeholders and represent the marketing function at the executive level; and
* Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and collaboration.
What You’ll Bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Communications or similar;
* Deep experience in senior, integrated marketing roles across content, digital, brand and strategy;
* Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and build a collaborative culture;
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and commercial acumen;
* A creative and strategic mindset with a passion for brand storytelling and audience-first marketing; and
* Strong experience in brand management, campaign delivery and reporting, preferably with experience across both B2C and B2B.
