About the Role
Our client is seeking a Marine Civil Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance and performance of inner harbour berths and jetty assets. This is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll drive both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, and operating at optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute day‐to‐day maintenance activities on marine civil infrastructure
* Supervise and manage contractors delivering planned, reactive, and major maintenance works
* Scope, plan, and coordinate maintenance projects and shutdowns
* Review inspection reports and asset registers to determine work priorities
* Prepare detailed scopes of work and support budgeting and scheduling processes
* Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety, and quality standards
* Coordinate site inductions, permits, and safety requirements
* Act as surveillance officer for on‐site works
* Update asset registers and track condition changes
* Liaise with maintenance planners regarding task status and asset availability
About You
Proactive and safety‐focused leader with strong technical knowledge in marine civil infrastructure and a track record of delivering maintenance outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Trade qualification in Civil or Marine Construction OR
* 15+ years' extensive relevant industry experience
* Proven experience in a similar maintenance supervision role
* Strong contractor management and contract administration experience
* Solid understanding of marine civil infrastructure maintenance
Desirable:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline
* Qualifications in Project Management, Contract Administration, or Maintenance Management
* Diving qualifications
Skills & Attributes
* Strong problem‐solving mindset with a proactive approach
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Sound knowledge of maintenance legislation and regulatory requirements
* Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
* Current C or CA Class Driver's Licence
