Southern Program Alliance is responsible for removing 110 of Melbourne's most dangerous and congested level crossings by 2025 as part of Victoria's Big Build transport infrastructure program.

The Opportunity
The Senior Project Engineer supports the Construction Manager in achieving safe, timely, and high-quality project completion within budget. You will oversee project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
You will provide technical, administrative, and HSEQS support to supervisors, fostering collaboration with internal and external resources to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure project delivery aligns with program, cost, and time expectations, leading to high client satisfaction
* Identify and assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies
* Resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities using technical skills
* Assist with cost control and forecasting for strategic planning
* Lead and develop large project teams on-site
* Build collaborative relationships with supervisors and stakeholders
* Maintain quality, environmental, and safety standards across the project
Required Skills and Competencies
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related field
* 7+ years of extensive civil engineering experience in a delivery environment
* Experience working on major projects on-site
* Ability to manage and develop long-term programs, contracts, and large teams
* Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities with subcontractors, authorities, staff, and clients
