The Bays Hospital is seeking an experienced and dynamic Perioperative Services Manager to lead our high-performing perioperative team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape service delivery, optimise theatre performance, and drive continuous improvement across a busy and diverse perioperative environment.
Working closely with the Theatre NUM and reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will oversee five operating theatres, Day Surgery, CSSD, an Endoscopy Suite and Pre-Admissions, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

What you'll be doing
* Lead and support strong relationships with visiting surgeons and their teams to maximise theatre utilisation and efficiency
* Coordinate theatre scheduling to improve patient flow and operational performance
* Oversee departmental budgets, KPI reporting, and financial performance
* Lead recruitment, retention, and development of a skilled perioperative workforce
* Ensure safe staffing levels and appropriate skill mix across all perioperative areas
* Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with national safety and quality standards
About you
You are a confident and experienced perioperative leader who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. You bring:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse
* Significant experience in a senior theatre/perioperative nursing leadership role in an acute hospital
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing diverse clinical teams
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* A strong focus on quality improvement and best-practice care delivery
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
