About the work unit / facility
The General Practice Liaison Office within Corporate Services at Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) works to strengthen integration between hospital outpatient services and primary care. This role is embedded in HealthPathways, supporting streamlined patient journeys and collaborative care planning.

Competitive salary and benefits
- Salary between $87.25 – $127.77 per hour (L13–L27).
- 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity
This GPwSI role supports outpatient care integration by working within specialist teams to improve access, streamline referrals, and enhance continuity of care. You'll contribute to clinical planning, triage, and patient follow-up, while also supporting HealthPathways development and GP engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM, or specialist registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner.
- Highly regarded: Experience in outpatient care, clinical planning, and GP liaison activities.
- Highly regarded: Strong communication and collaboration skills across hospital and primary care settings.
- Evidence of vaccination against VPDs as per Queensland Health policy.
- A probationary period may apply.
