**The Role**
The EL1 Quality Assurance Manager will work as part of a small team that reviews the health and effectiveness of the military justice system, through the conduct of auditing and data reviews. The position is responsible for assurance and internal audit governance, and corporate reporting activities. The role reports to the Director of the Directorate of Military Justice Performance and Review (DMJPR). In this role, you will:
- Provide high level quality assurance systems in the areas of planning, quality management, performance measurement and continuous improvement
- Design and implement quality assurance activities to enhance audit reporting processes and data collection in line with the ASAE 3500 Performance Engagements. This will include the analysis of collected data, findings and trended issues from quality sampling from audits and other defence databases.
- Work with directorate staff and audit teams to compile audit outcomes into quality and timely reports that outline improvements, recommendations, and follow up activities
- Manage sensitive and protected information gathered during audits and other related activities
- Work collaboratively with team members and Defence units on quality assurance activities
- Manage and lead a team. Building team capacity to set the standard for service and quality.
- Note you may be required to travel as a part of this role.
**About our Team**
The office supports the Inspector-General of the Australian Defence Force in their statutory functions of overseeing the effectiveness of the military justice system. The office has 3 directorates that provide administrative, human resource and legal support, and 4 directorates that work on the Inspector-General's statutory functions. These are:
- Inquiries and Investigations - DII
- Military Justice Performance Review - DMJPR
- Military Redress and Review - DMRR
- Select Incident Review - DSIR
DMJPR supports the Inspector-General in their statutory function to provide continuous review of the health and effectiveness of the military justice system.
DMJPR is an integrated team comprised of ADF, APS and Reservists. The directorate undertakes internal audits of ADF units, ships and establishments.
You will demonstrate:
