Location: Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia.
Residentially based in Mount Isa, on a 9-day fortnight roster.Mount Isa Mines is advertising for a supervisor in the Supply Department.
Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, the role leads warehouse management and logistics functions that support the operational infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will provide ongoing support, training, and information on warehouse issues, stand in for absent team members, undertake project and investigative work, and promote continual improvement in Supply practices and services.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining personal and team safety, as well as environmental standardsAchieving personal and team performance goalsManagement of MIM inventory items, systems and cataloguesProviding site-wide services that support and contribute to the performance of both maintenance and operation teamsRegular stocktake and stock reviews, including management of seasonal stock levels and reducing inventoryClearing warehouse and sub-stores of surplus/unserviceable items in conjunction with customer areasManaging a Rotable Items Management SystemAssisting operational and maintenance teams to reduce official/unofficial stores to consolidate storage practicesImplementing safe stacking & storage policiesPromoting a culture of continual improvement in Supply practices and servicesQualifications & ExperienceDemonstrated history of commitment to customer service, logistics & other related activitiesA minimum of three years' experience in, and excellent working knowledge of, warehouse/inventory managementExcellent understanding of SAP, with data manipulation and report writing skills; demonstrated problem solving and organisational capabilitiesProven history of commitment to delivering a professional standard of accuracy in work outputHigh level of personal flexibility, integrity, initiative, motivation, teamwork and negotiation skills; ability to perform tasks with minimal supervisionExcellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal)Being a member of a relevant professional body is desirable but not essentialBenefitsCompetitive Remuneration Package with 13% SuperannuationPaid relocation inclusive of up to 12 weeks furnished transit accommodationBenefits program including discounts with Health Insurance providers, Glencore Rewards, salary sacrificing vehicle, Employee Referral Program and Recognition and Rewards ProgramProfessional development opportunities with external education assistance and leadership programsPractical DetailsLocation: Mount Isa, Queensland, AustraliaRoster: *********** hour shiftsRef.
