Position: Instructional Designer – Digital Learning
Location: Arundel, Gold Coast | Part-time (4 days/week)
Salary: $82,000 FTE + super + salary packaging
(Approx. $65,600 + super for 0.8 FTE)
Bravehearts is seeking a skilled and values-driven Instructional Designer – Digital Learning to help deliver high-quality child protection training programs to educators, carers, and professionals across the country.
Based at our Gold Coast office (Arundel), this part-time role (4 days/week) offers a unique opportunity to work in a creative, supportive, and collaborative team committed to protecting children from harm.
You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining Bravehearts’ digital training products, designing engaging and accessible content for diverse audiences, and ensuring our learning aligns with best practice. You’ll also manage our Learning Management System (LMS), support delivery and evaluation of online training, and contribute to innovation in digital education.
We value in-person collaboration, so regular attendance at our Arundel office is required (2–3 days per week). Flexible arrangements for suitable candidates can be discussed.
About You
* You’re a skilled digital learning professional who thrives in purpose-driven environments. You bring:
* Expertise in instructional design and eLearning development
* A knack for simplifying complex content into engaging digital learning
* Strong LMS and multimedia production skills
* A collaborative, proactive, and mission-aligned mindset
Must Haves
* Proficiency in Articulate 360 (including Rise and Storyline)
* LMS administration experience (Absorb LMS preferred)
* Strong understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and WCAG digital accessibility standards
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for video or graphic editing
* Excellent written communication and attention to detail
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities independently
* Australian work rights and availability to work regularly from our Arundel office (min. 2–3 days/week)
* A current Working with Children Blue Card (or willingness to obtain one)
* A genuine passion for creating learning experiences that make a social impact—particularly in the area of child protection
Bonus Points For
* Content writing or copywriting experience
* Video creation or editing skills
* Including a portfolio or examples of past work with your application
