Children First Early Education – Rockhampton QLD
Our support staff are integral members of our operational teams, they are the foundation to ensuring we provide quality care to our families.
We are welcoming applications from cleaners to work onsite with our early childhood education and care team at our brand new Children First Berserker centre.
This is a permanent part time role offering 37.5 hours/ week.
Fixed shifts - Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm
Please note: these are core hours, and there is no flexibility.
About your new role:
* Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners)
* Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell.
* Laundry washing and folding.
* Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture.
* Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
* Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are streak free.
* Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.
* Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials
* Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely.
* Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests
A little about you:
* Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational (school or early childhood) or commercial setting (highly regarded, but not essential).
* Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain.
* Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn.
* Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
* Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus.
* A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
