Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail‐oriented individual to join our team as an Advanced Storeperson. The role will be responsible for efficiently handling the receipt, storage and distribution of goods within our department and external customers to support GVH Supply Department's operations. In this role, you will coordinate stock handling, maintain accurate inventory records, oversee safe storage and transportation of goods and collaborate with internal teams on procurement and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, experience in inventory management, proficiency in warehouse management systems and a mandatory forklift licence.
Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for promoting the activities listed below:
* Using the Network Infrastructure (currently Oracle) to receive goods and distributing them to various departments and clients based on the Put Away sheets or Picking Slips.
* Picking and packing goods based on the picking slips and ensuring each item is stored in the proper bin location.
* Replenishment of ward consumables under the Scanned Module Data System.
* Deliver goods to internal and external customers.
* Maintain the accuracy of stock.
* Keeping the Warehouse and SMDS racks clean and tidy.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for:
* Must have mandatory forklift licence
* Physically able to perform manual picking and packing tasks
* Experience in development and maintenance of procedure manuals for clerical staff
* Sound knowledge of inventory control principles.
* Accuracy with figures and excellent attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal and communication skill
