Now, they're looking for switched-on Business Development Manager to drive the Sydney market. This newly created role is all about face-to-face relationship building, client entertaining, and big-picture thinking - with zero travel and a laser focus on Sydney metro.
You'll thrive if you've got a background in fit-out, architecture, interior design or construction, (we would even consider a client-side Project Manager with a flair for business development) and can talk cost plans, proposals, and project scopes with confidence. The Position:
As the Business Development Manager NSW, you'll be the face of the brand - hunting opportunities, building relationships, and driving growth across the Sydney market. This is not just a sales role - it's also got a strong focus on ongoing client account and relationship management.
- Lead the full sales lifecycle - from early client engagement to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure
- Uncover client needs by asking the right questions and identifying challenges across workplace strategy, design, technology, and construction
- Collaborate with internal experts (design, strategy, pre-construction) to develop tailored, end-to-end solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure repeat business and long-term value
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company growth strategy
- Leverage your industry network (tenant reps, agents, landlords, PMs, designers) to open doors and generate leads
- Maintain and manage a healthy pipeline in Hubspot, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting
- Consistently achieve revenue targets, driving sustainable growth and prospect creation
The Person:
- 5+ years' experience in a business development or sales-focused role, ideally within commercial fit-out, construction, architecture or interior design,
- A strong existing network across Sydney's property and construction sectors - connections with tenant reps, landlords, PMs, and designers will be a huge advantage
- Demonstrated ability to identify and convert new business opportunities, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Confident communicator who can engage and influence stakeholders at all levels - from first contact through to final negotiation
- You're strategic by nature but thrive in the hustle - you love prospecting, building pipelines, and closing deals
- Able to navigate a fast-paced, high-volume environment while staying organised and outcomes-focused
- A self-starter with strong time management skills who takes ownership of results and thrives with minimal supervision
