Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced chef to join our culinary team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standard, ensuring that all food handling and storage procedures are followed and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. They will also be required to oversee food plating and garnishing, prepare food to meet special dietary requirements and create new recipes to innovate the menu.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation and cooking of food in accordance with menu standards.
* Ensuring food handling and storage is in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Overseeing food plating and garnishing to maintain consistency and artistic presentation.
* Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
* Creating and testing new recipes to innovate the menu.
* Regulating oven temperatures to ensure dishes are cooked at appropriate levels.
* Checking food is stored and handled as per food health and hygiene regulations.
* Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
* Helping with planning of menu items and estimating food requirements.
Requirements:
* Association Degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma certification in Hospitality qualification.
* Prior experience as a Chef.
* Strong knowledge of cooking methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment.
* Ability to work Full Time.
