About The Role
The Support Worker – Catering will support residents in expressing their food preferences, ensuring nutritious meals are prepared in alignment with appropriate standards. The role supports cultural, religious and dietary preferences in food service to maintain resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
* Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident, including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific instructions.
* Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, keeping the residents' living environment safe and clean.
* Adhere to the National Food Safety Program, completing food safety records and preventing cross‐contamination.
About You
* Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to prioritise workloads.
* Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
* Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
* Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment.
* Previous experience with Australian food safety standards.
* Experience in food preparation and food safety desirable.
* Food Handling Certificate desirable.
