**The Role**:
Are you a highly motivated and experienced Communications Advisor, with a passion for delivering effective communication to a range of stakeholders?
We are seeking an experienced Communications Advisor, to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic communication plans and delivering effective communications to a range of stakeholders.
As part of the Communications and Engagement team, you will help ensure our large and complex construction program achieves its objectives through contribution to project engagement strategies for key infrastructure projects across the agency.
**VPS4 Equivalent | Contract to June 30**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to implementing project and community communication and engagement strategies, and provide support and communication to key stakeholders and communities
- Proactively identify and respond promptly to community issues relating to key projects and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with senior managers as required
- Contribute to the maintenance of the enquiries inbox and assist in the provision of timely and accurate responses, and the maintenance of the Branch forward planner
- Contribute to the development and implementation of local strategic communications and engagement plans and the delivery of the engagement work plan
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services
**About You**:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective communication strategies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write for a range of audiences and mediums
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, both internal and external to the department
- Robust organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines
- Knowledge of government policies and practices would be advantageous
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a communications role, ideally within government or a related sector
