SMT Operator- Placement
Kelly is seeking an SMT Operator- Placement to work at a premier manufacturing client in West Melbourne, FL. This role is critical to the company's production of printed circuit boards and related components.
Compensation & Schedule
Salary: $17 per hourShift: 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday‐through‐Friday
Responsibilities
* Set up, operate, and maintain screen printers, glue machines, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in PCB assembly
* Meet daily build plans according to production planner requirements
* Interface with complex machine hardware and software
* Identify and report defective components and non‐conforming material
* Perform minor machine adjustments and inspect own work for accuracy and integrity
* Assist with new product introduction (NPI), including creating and debugging programs and training new operators
* Maintain detailed logs, cleanliness of the work area, and accuracy of work‐in‐process
* Participate in quality teams and train other employees as needed
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience operating SMT equipment (NPI experience a plus)
* IPC‐A‐610 Certification and ESD training
* Knowledge of component identification, nomenclature, and handling (including ESD requirements)
* Basic computer skills, problem‐solving ability, and strong organizational skills
* Ability to follow written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids with attention to detail
* Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to prioritize and organize workload efficiently
* Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC‐610 requirements
* US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 (U.S. lawful permanent residence, refugees, those granted asylum or amnesty, as work includes ITAR controlled technical data)
* Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary
