Senior Estimator for Infrastructure Projects
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Estimator to lead the estimation team in delivering major infrastructure projects across the state.
This role requires a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant Australian standards, as well as the ability to manage tendering and procurement processes, including preparing documentation and evaluating bids.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets in collaboration with project teams.
* Tendering & Procurement: Manage tendering and procurement processes, including preparing documentation and evaluating bids.
* Contract Management: Administer and negotiate contracts, ensuring variations and claims are managed effectively.
* Budget Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and provide clear financial reporting.
* Value Engineering: Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
* Risk & Compliance: Conduct cost risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients, internal teams, and consultants to align on project cost outcomes.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in civil construction and remediation projects.
* In-depth knowledge of remediation practices, public infrastructure works, and local authority project requirements.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant Australian standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and estimating software.
* High level of numerical accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Experience preparing tenders for councils or government clients will be highly regarded.
