Job Title:
Infrastructure Expert
A high-level professional responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance and support of complex IT infrastructure systems. This includes planning, implementing and managing server and storage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, scalability and security.
Key areas of focus include ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, responding to technical issues as they arise, performing upgrades and migrations, resolving problems with equipment or software, providing regular reports on system performance and efficiency, collaborating with stakeholders to define business requirements and develop IT strategies, training junior staff members in new technologies and best practices, staying up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends, developing and maintaining documentation on system architectures and technical specifications, and evaluating hardware and software options to optimize cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a senior role
* Proven expertise in designing, implementing and maintaining complex IT systems, including servers, storage, network infrastructure, databases and applications
* Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and migration strategies
* Experience working with virtualization technologies, containerization and DevOps methodologies
* Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking and attention to detail
* Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies, such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform
