Event Sales and Experience Manager Position
The Event Sales and Experience Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of social and corporate events.
* This key position is responsible for selling event spaces, providing exceptional food and beverage service, managing guestrooms, and offering other hotel services to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
The Event Sales and Experience Manager will:
* Sell and manage event spaces to drive revenue growth and maximize occupancy rates;
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to secure new business from corporate and social markets;
* Collaborate with internal teams, including Hotel Operations, Food and Beverage management, Room Division Operations, and Finance, to deliver seamless event experiences;
* Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, events, and weddings, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to timelines and budgets;
* Conduct regular competitor research to stay up-to-date on market trends and best practices;
* Maintain accurate records and reports to track event performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
To succeed in this dynamic role, candidates should possess:
* A hospitality or sales/marketing tertiary qualification (desired);
* At least 3-5 years of experience in catering sales or events environment in luxury hotels/resorts or the hospitality sector;
* Proficiency in Hotel Property and Catering Management Systems (OPERA);
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
* A valid working visa for Australia.
