OnTalent is delighted to partner with Logan Water to recruit the position of Program Leader Water Service Planning and Optimisation. Logan Water’s vision is to be reliable, sustainable and committed to providing safe, and sustainable water and wastewater services for the benefit of the Logan community.
Reporting to the Manager Water Service Delivery, this role is critical to the success of the new Logan water Service model. Its focus is to effectively, efficiently and proactively plan, prioritise and schedule the integrated maintenance/operations of Logan Water assets to ensure they meet their service objectives throughout their designed helpful life.
The role is responsible for continually improving maintenance planning practices comparable with the best Australian water utilities, delivering transparent, efficient, effective, value for money and customer centric maintenance activities to meet service standards through a structured and managed approach.
You will be accountable for leading a seamless, end-to-end approach to integrated planning, maintenance and operational service delivery with the Program Leader Maintenance Delivery, Program Leader Operations, Manager Water Service Delivery and their respective teams.
Managing four direct reports and an overall team of 30 employees, you will be a member of the Logan Water Program Leader cohort (Plex) and the Service Delivery leadership team which primarily ensures that Logan Water is equipped to deliver strategic asset planning and optimised planning and delivery of water and wastewater operations, maintenance and treatment activities that meet the future growth needs of the City and the commercial and performance obligations of Logan Water as a commercial business unit of Logan City Council.
- Sound knowledge of and experience in leading a complex, strategic business area in line with environmental, social, legislative and financial business policy frameworks applicable to the water sector.
- Demonstrated experience in driving maintenance focused business transformation and change resulting in improved commercial outcomes.
- Experience in the development of strategies, and frameworks for the planning and scheduling of maintenance of extensive, large scale water and wastewater networks, including advanced wastewater treatment facilities.
- Previous experience in delivering best practice logistics management including holistic planning and scheduling of people resources, plant, fleet, equipment and technologies and implementing efficient and effective management systems to support these.
- Demonstrable experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams to collectively deliver and improve asset, operations and maintenance delivery outcomes.
- Formal qualifications in engineering (or equivalent) and eligibility to become a corporate member of the Institute of Engineers Australia as well as current registration as a Professional Engineer, Queensland (or eligibility for registration) would be advantageous.
