ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a part time pharmacist to join the HealthSmart team at the newly opening pharmacy inside the Footscray Hospital. This role has high potential to become a full time position.
The successful applicant will be required to be involved in all aspects of the dispensary and play an important role in the development of the pharmacy.
Being located in a hospital precinct, there is exposure to a vast array of the newest medication treatments which presents unique professional development.
This is a part time position initially covering four weekdays (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) and alternating Saturday.
ABOUT THE PERSON
Successful applicants will need to be friendly, work well autonomously as well as in a team, possess attention to detail, enjoy resolving patient health issues and be characterised by empathy and compassion.
* Experience in community pharmacy is essential.
* Dispensing accuracy and knowledge of FRED dispense and office is also essential.
* Applicants must hold full registration with AHPRA to be eligible for this position. Unfortunately internship positions will not be considered.
* Compounding and Vaccination capability is highly desirable and a strong advantage but not essential.
* As per hospital policy, all employees need to have a current flu vaccination
