We are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world's key challenges. The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world. Our team is working on taking the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica. We are also building a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.

As an HR Business Partner at Yara, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, flexible service, responsive to the needs of the organisation, and in line with legislative requirements and best practice. You will partner with Line Leaders within the organisation to support the delivery of HR strategy and foster a positive work culture to support the overall success of the organisation.



Key Responsibilities:

* Support the HR Manager in leading the HR function.
* Develop and implement HR strategies and projects.
* Manage employee performance and develop leaders.
* Plan for workforce succession and manage remuneration.
* Oversee the entire employment lifecycle from recruitment to separation.
* Manage budgets and costs effectively.
* Resolve employee relations issues and oversee industrial relations.


The role involves leading a small team of HR Professionals. The successful candidate will regularly travel to Karratha or Perth. If based in Perth, you will need to travel to Karratha at least monthly for up to 5 days. As an HR Business Partner, you will develop, update and implement HR procedures and practices to align with legislative requirements, industry best practices and Yara International guidelines. You will work closely with the Recruitment team on talent acquisition and prepare, review and approve HR documentation. The successful candidate will contribute to workshops/training in areas of HR and Leadership for Yara leaders and facilitate community initiatives. They will also lead investigations and disciplinary matters, manage workplace conflict and lead audits as part of continuous improvement for cost efficiency and quality. Additionally, they will oversee and support payroll processes, provide immigration support and act as a culture champion for site. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and make informed decisions to drive HR strategies. A minimum bachelor’s degree in HR or related subject is required, along with proven experience in a senior HR role within the heavy industry or manufacturing sector and a minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a team. Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.
