The role
We currently have an an opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join the organisation and become a key member of CareFlight's HR team.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources your key objectives will be to provide professional and efficient HR business partnering support across CareFlight's national operations with a strong specialisation in HR systems, data and process optimisation. As well as Lead and support the effective use, optimisation and governance of CareFlight's HRIS and payroll-related systems and drive continuous improvement in HR systems, data integrity, reporting and people processes.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
•Act as CareFlight's HRIS owner and governance lead, accountable for the integrity, security, configuration, optimisation and controlled evolution of all HR and payroll-integrated systems
•Own and manage HRIS architecture, workflows, security roles, integrations, data structures and business rules to ensure legislative compliance, data integrity, audit readiness and operational efficiency
•Lead system upgrades, releases, configuration changes, regression testing, UAT and controlled deployment of HRIS enhancements
•Maintain a single source of truth for employee, payroll and workforce data, including auditing, reconciliation, cleansing and correction processes
•Develop and maintain HR dashboards, workforce analytics and statutory/compliance reporting to support organisational and regulatory requirements
•Translate business, Award/EBA and workforce management requirements into compliant HRIS configuration and system design
•Act as subject matter expert and escalation point for Employment Hero, HR Pay and all HR system integrations
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
•Proven hands-on administration of enterprise HRIS/HCM platforms (eg. Employment Hero, Workday, or similar)
•Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processing, organisational structures, job architecture, and payroll, leave, benefits and time and attendance integrations
•Ability to configure workflows, business rules and security roles, manage upgrades and releases, and perform mass data changes safely
•High-level data governance capability, including auditing, validation, reconciliation, maintaining a single source of truth and advanced Excel/data manipulation and Power BI Reporting skills
•Strong knowledge of privacy, record keeping and audit obligations, including system access controls, segregation of duties and sensitive data management
•Functional HR systems knowledge, including Award/EBA impacts on payroll and HR systems, and recruitment, onboarding, performance, learning and workforce analytics modules
•Strong problem-solving, testing and change control capability, with disciplined documentation practices
•Clear cross-functional stakeholder communication capability, and a detail-orientated, discreet and process-driven approach with a continuous improvement mindset
The following will be highly regarded:
•Experience implementing or upgrading HRIS platforms end-to-end
•Ability to build dashboards and workforce analytics
•Automation and optimisation mindset
•Vendor and integration management experience
