Multi-Strategy Private Credit Fund – Australian Institutional Asset Management Firm – Investment Analyst and Senior Associate / Vice President
Our client is a well-known Australian investment manager. Through organic growth and acquisitions, the firm has built a multi-billion-dollar platform. The Private Credit investment strategy spans the full suite of private credit, including corporate direct lending (both non-sponsor and sponsor), structured finance, real estate, agriculture, and core-plus infrastructure.
The team is appointing two new members to the investment team: one at the Investment Analyst level and one at either Senior Associate or Vice President level. The roles sit within the Sydney investment team, with a primary focus on corporate debt and structured finance, alongside exposure to other strategies such as real estate and non-core infrastructure. The team focuses on providing flexible debt capital solutions, including senior loans to small and mid-sized companies, with the ability to flex into mezzanine and preferred equity for bespoke transactions.
In the Analyst role, the primary responsibility will be conducting financial and commercial due diligence on potential investment opportunities. The role offers exposure to the full deal lifecycle, including structuring, financial modelling, documentation, investment memorandum preparation, and portfolio management. There is a strong opportunity to learn from senior professionals of the highest calibre by joining this team. For the more senior appointment, the successful candidate will lead transactions end-to-end, supported by the wider investment team. Responsibilities will be similar to the Analyst role but with greater discretion, responsibility, and decision-making authority.
We are seeking hungry, hardworking, and intellectually curious candidates who are excited to contribute to a growth platform with significant potential and high-pedigree leadership, both within the investment team and the broader investment management business. For the Analyst role, the ideal candidate will have 1–4 years' experience in restructuring, M&A, investment banking, private credit, or debt advisory. For the more senior appointment, candidates will bring prior experience in private credit, debt advisory, or investment banking. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong track record in prior roles, a natural inclination toward credit investing, and a meticulous and motivated approach.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to transition into investing and to join a high-calibre team.
