**About the Role**
Provide a service to the community as a Parking Officer, you will have the understanding of Local Government and Council's role within the community and will bring a can-do attitude to the table.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Understanding of Local Government and Council's role in the community.
- Can do attitude, personally driven to achieve performance targets, actively meeting team rostering requirements (inlcudes weekend work).
- Demonstrated experience of parking enforcement or other regulatory roles relevant to Victorian road and parking legislation.
- Experience working as a high performing team member with the ability to work autonomously, with a compliance focus.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent ability to resolve conflict, manage confronting behaviour and effectively communicate with the community regarding road and parking legislation.
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to deliver on competing tasks to a high standard.
- High level administration skills with strong attention to detail, investigative skills and confidence to give evidence in court.
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence and satisfactory Police Check and Working With Children Check.

**Skills and Experience**
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of the Road Safety Act and relevant regulations pertaining to that Act and the Local Government Act 1989
- Experience in working within a high performing department and have the ability to work autonomously when required
- Ability to understand and comply with safe work practices for the Waste Team and ensure that safety, including that of the public, is considered in all works carried out.
