What Youll Be Doing
Deliver a range of operational laboratory activities in Haematology, including coordination and provision of scientific and technical training, and ongoing review, development and quality management of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with standards and continual process improvement. Work in a dynamic, high-volume Haematology Laboratory within a major metropolitan hospital operating on a 24/7 rotating roster.
Our laboratory provides diagnostic services including routine Haematology, Coagulation, Morphology and Flow Cytometry. We support professional development through ongoing education and upskilling.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent qualification, with pathology-relevant subjects
- Knowledge and experience in delivery of pathology services relevant to the laboratory, including Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Control Systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports, perform statistical evaluation of data and communicate policies and procedures
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both in a team and autonomously to deliver results within timeframes
- Initiative, problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to apply established principles and investigate issues
- Understanding of legislation, policies and requirements impacting the laboratory environment including work health and safety and privacy
