Techno Services Pty Ltd is a nationally expanding Telecommunications and IT solutions provider headquartered in Bundall, Queensland, with operational offices in the Northern Territory and Tasmania. The organisation delivers high-performance services across Wireless Network Build, SAED Design and Deployment, AWS & DevOps Solutions, Software and Application Development, and Managed Cybersecurity Services throughout Australia.
To support ongoing wireless infrastructure rollout and network modernization programs, Techno Services is seeking a highly capable Telecommunications Network Engineer to contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of carrier-grade telecommunications networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, supervise, and execute installation, testing, and commissioning of Network Elements (NEs) and transmission equipment.
* Design and implement Circuit Switched (CS) and Packet Switched (PS) network solutions including planning and optimization strategies.
* Conduct interface testing, cutover planning, and troubleshooting across BSC6680, RNC, and LTE platforms.
* Prepare and deploy licensing for eGBTS, UMTS, LTE, BSC, and RNC systems.
Perform RF Optimization, KPI analysis, Drive Testing, Microwave LOS Surveys, and EMF compliance assessments.
* Allocate LTE traffic capacity and conduct VLAN loopback testing to ensure network scalability.
* Undertake link budgeting, path profiling, interference analysis, and frequency planning using tools such as Global Mapper and PathLoss 4.0.
* Collaborate with Core, NSS, and BSS planning teams to align transmission and integration requirements.
* Ensure full compliance with telecommunications regulations, SLAs, and applicable industry standards.
* Supervise technical personnel, manage project resources, and oversee rollout schedules to ensure timely delivery.
* Provide technical escalation support to NOC and client operations teams.
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.• Minimum three (3) years of proven experience in telecommunications network design, deployment, and optimization.
Technical Skills & Competencies
* Advanced expertise in RF Planning, Network Optimization, and Transmission Networks.
* Practical experience with Ericsson RBS, Huawei U2000, and Mini Link Craft 21 Q1 systems.
* Strong knowledge of network traffic analysis, capacity planning, and SLA performance management.
* Experience in BOQ preparation, site validation, and rollout execution.
* Demonstrated capability in diagnosing network performance degradation, link failures, and service disruptions.
* Sound understanding of telecommunications regulatory compliance frameworks.
* Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder coordination skills.
