AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're the people who run the projects that build the cloud, delivering initial strategy, Data Centre design, construction, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual customer access. Our projects tackle challenging problems with extensive supply‐chain variables, and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll join a diverse team of planners, engineers, designers, supply‐chain specialists, construction managers, security experts, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with AWS partners to deliver the highest safety and security standards while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost. We offer an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own projects to completion.
Senior Technical Programme Manager
The AWS Infrastructure Capacity Delivery team is searching for a passionate and talented Senior Technical Programme Manager to support projects expanding our Data Centre infrastructure. The TPM will lead cross‐functional, technical teams to deliver Data Centre capacity, managing projects from strategy and conceptual design feasibility, through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
As a leader, you will interact with customers, partners, and suppliers to understand business goals and priorities, and execute rapidly, delivering high‐quality results. The TPM is comfortable managing remote project delivery teams, facilitating technical sessions to troubleshoot issues, and removing barriers to project success. You will build cross‐functional matrix teams, establish trust across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate unnecessary activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate delivery.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator (written and verbal) with at least 5 years of experience in project management of technical initiatives and strategic program management. Strong judgement, negotiation skills, influence without authority, analytical talent, and leadership capacity are essential. Candidates with Data Centre infrastructure delivery experience, architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/network engineering, or IT/telecom infrastructure deployments, who have some programme management experience, have a distinct advantage.
The TPM is familiar with a variety of project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle. Demonstrated experience in core disciplines—including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking—is required. Experience with MS Office, MS Project, and MS SharePoint is also necessary.
Do you look around corners to optimise resources and speed delivery? Do you enjoy ambiguity and finding independent solutions? Are you passionate about using technology to solve business problems with substantial customer impact? We invite you to build the future with us.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
* Ability to review technical and ambiguous problems, convey clear options and recommendations, and lead teams to decide and deliver

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in data centre design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
* Experience managing multiple projects, prioritising, planning, and managing time
