In the role of Legal Counsel / Company Secretary you will provide legal, corporate secretariat, governance and data privacy support to the Deutsche Bank Group in Australia. This is a key role in the Australia Legal Department, contributing to sound local governance of the Deutsche Bank Group.

Your key responsibilities:
* Corporate Secretariat: act as statutory company secretary for all Deutsche Bank Group entities in Australia, providing board support to the Bank and its subsidiaries, including organising board meetings, drafting routine documents for meetings and post-meeting follow-ups, coordinating meeting materials with responsible parties, responding to inquiries and document production requests from internal and external parties including auditors and regulators, overseeing legal entity corporate filings
* Legal Counsel: provide general legal advice to the Bank in Australia on various general commercial and corporate legal matters
* Governance: oversee corporate governance and advise on governance related issues, including working collaboratively with governance specialists in other locations
* Data Privacy: act as data privacy officer for the Bank in Australia and advise on privacy related legal issues
* Manage the Bank's Australian Personal Properties Securities Registration (PPSR) records
Your skills and experience:
* 5+ years experience working in a law firm or inhouse legal / compliance department with Australian legal qualification
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline driven environment
* Proficient in use of MS Word/PowerPoint
* Integrity and discretion
* Ability to work independently, and in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including other Legal staff, Country Management, Finance, Compliance, Audit
