Speech Pathologist Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will work with adults and children who have a range of conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental delays, Stammers, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual disabilities, and Cleft Palate.
Your primary responsibilities will include assessing and treating patients with communication disorders, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' communication abilities and develop personalized treatment plans
* Provide evidence-based interventions to improve patients' communication skills, including speech, language, and social skills
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, psychologists, and physiotherapists, to ensure comprehensive care
* Keep accurate records of patient progress and treatment plans
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or related field
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Experience working with adults and children with communication disorders
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
