As a Cultural Experiences Officer – Programming, you’ll play a key role in delivering dynamic, educational and creative programs across our Arts, Culture and Tourism (ACT) facilities. Working closely with the Lifelong Learning team, you’ll help bring to life a diverse calendar of events and experiences that reflect the needs and interests of our community.
Your day-to-day will include developing and delivering programs for children and youth, supporting contractors and facilitators, and managing logistics like ticketing, bookings and materials. You’ll also contribute to broader strategic goals by aligning your work with Council’s cultural and tourism plans.
This role is hands-on, community-facing and full of variety. You’ll be based across ACT facilities, with occasional off-site work, and may be rostered across weekdays and weekends between 8:00am and 9:00pm.
You’re someone who thrives in a creative, people-focused environment and brings energy, initiative and a love of community engagement to your work. You will have experience delivering programs or events that connect people through culture, learning or creativity.
You’re confident working both independently and as part of a team and you’re comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a busy environment. Your communication skills are strong and you are tech-savvy, especially when it comes to ticketing systems and online platforms.
You’ll also have the following:
Certificate III or equivalent (for example: Arts Administration, Library & Information Studies, Customer Service, Events)
Proven experience in contributing to delivering a diverse range of community services and educational activities and programs/events (i.e. science, arts, literacy, technology, heritage)
Driver's Licence
Working with Children Check

Competitive commencing salary from $39.21 per hour plus 12 per cent superannuation
Temporary 3-year Contract
14-hour working week across a 7-day roster
