Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the site team to achieve successful project delivery, liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding the project.
* Utilise thorough understanding of drawings, specifications and quality, WHS, and environmental requirements for all site-related activities.
* Support the implementation of the project quality, WHS and environmental management plans on all projects.
* Assist daily project monitoring for toolbox inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping.
* Assist with the monitoring and updating of the construction program and site activity.
* Ensure materials are procured in advance of the construction program.
* Assist in monitoring daily work activities to maximise utilisation of plant and resources.
* Implement improvements for managing site-related costs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or working towards.
* 1-2+ years previous experience as an Engineer in the civil industry, ideally within residential subdivisions/bulk earthworks.
* A current White Card & Drivers Licence.
* A strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practices.
* Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to show initiative and take ownership.
* Strong communication and organisation skills, including strong attention to detail.
* Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve.
* Confidence in using technology, including CRM-based applications and proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
