THE ROLE
We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our creative team full-time at our Abbotsford studio. This role is essential to the end-to-end development of each collection, working closely with our suppliers, production, marketing, and sales teams to deliver standout products each season.
Designers at our label are able to produce garments that are loved by customers and stores globally, offering a true experience in international fashion trade.
Key Responsibilities
DESIGN AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
* Create and update tech packs, spec sheets, CAD sketches, and development documentation.
* Maintain range boards and manage seasonal production schedules.
* Liaise with suppliers on construction, materials, fit, and grading.
* Attend fittings, record detailed notes, and implement feedback into development.
PRODUCTION AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
* Manage sample shipments, track measurements, and oversee approvals.
* Conduct QA checks on development samples, TOB, and bulk production.
* Provide detailed product data and descriptions to marketing and sales teams.
* Ensure product integrity and consistency throughout the development process.
STUDIO OPERATIONS AND COLLABORATION
* Work closely with Logistics, Sales, and Marketing teams on a daily basis.
* Maintain the design archive, fabric library, and sample storage.
* Prepare design presentations and internal overviews for seasonal collections.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fashion design or product development role.
* Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or equivalent.
* Professional expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
* Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
* Excellent knowledge of garment construction and grading.
* High attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to manage multiple timelines.
* A proactive, collaborative attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.
