**About the Role**:
The EL1 Assistant Director Compliance (Labour Hire) is an important team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the work area. The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the functions. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and monitoring team workload, providing advice and procedural guidance to the team in the performance of their tasks, maintaining quality standards by accounting for applicable legislation, processes and procedures.
- Leading and managing any requests from across the branch for resourcing support.
- Collaborating across the branch to undertake initiatives to identify opportunities to support better claiming practices through the ongoing design and review of contemporary approaches to compliance response.
- Collaborating across the Branch on the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Coordinating and preparing a range of high-level written material.
- Oversight of validation and quality assurance activities for the team and contributions to Branch-wide assurance activities
- Providing advice on, and coordinating staffing requirements, contracts, and movements.
