Job Title: Synchronisation Manager- Film & TV (12 Month Fixed-Term, Part Time) Reports To: SVP Commercial Australasia Department: Commercial Team Location: Australia or New Zealand A little bit about our team: Our Sync department is a critical strategic unit within Warner Music Australasia, responsible for placing our artists’ music within high-quality visual media. We operate at the intersection of A&R, Marketing, and the broader creative industries, serving as the primary link between our domestic and international rosters and the screen. You will work closely with the Synchronisation Manager - Advertising and our global counterparts to ensure Warner Music remains a preferred partner for music supervisors and creative directors across the region. Your role: As Sync Manager (12-Month Fixed-Term, Part-Time), you will facilitate the integration of our artists’ repertoire into diverse media platforms. This role requires a balance of creative curation and commercial negotiation, as you pitch our catalog to music supervisors, advertising agencies, and broadcasters. During this 12-month tenure, you will act as a key representative for Warner Music Australia, driving revenue and securing meaningful exposure for our artists through strategic placements in film and television productions. Here you’ll get to: Identify and secure opportunities for Warner Music artists by pitching repertoire across Film, TV, Advertising, and emerging digital platforms. Negotiate licensing fees and terms and manage the end-to-end clearance process, ensuring all agreements align with artist and company objectives. Develop curated playlists and creative assets that showcase the breadth of our domestic and international catalogues for client briefs. Maintain and expand relationships with key stakeholders, including TV networks, production companies, and creative agencies. Partner with A&R and Marketing to identify synch-ready tracks and develop proactive strategies for upcoming releases. Collaborate with global Sync teams to advocate for Australian artists on international projects. Oversee administrative workflows, including the drafting of license agreements and the maintenance of internal tracking databases. About you: You possess a professional background in music synchronisation, with a firm grasp of music rights, copyright, licensing structures, and the Australian media landscape. You are a skilled communicator and confident negotiator, capable of managing complex commercial discussions while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships. Confident in fostering and maintaining client relationships You are skilled at interpreting creative briefs and selecting the right music to meet a client's needs You are detail-oriented and organised, ensuring that contracts and administrative tasks are handled with precision within a part-time schedule. You are a self-motivated professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced corporate environment. You are a collaborative team player, committed to supporting the department’s goals and sharing knowledge effectively. We’d love it if you also had: Established professional connections within the film and television production landscape, music publishers and labels in New Zealand and Australia. Experience and a high level of understanding of copyright and rights management A comprehensive understanding of the music industry, specifically the relationship between labels, publishers, and Synchronisation licensing.
