**DESCRIPTION**
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways**:
- Deliver a first-class service to our customers for mining.
- Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field, this will be on an on 7/7 roster.
- Diagnose and repair HHP Cummins mining engines
- Inspect and replace components as required
- Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Service Supervisor
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**To be successful in this role, you will need the following**:
- Australian recognised Trade certificate (heavy Vehicle)
- Apprentice trained engine technician (preferred)
- Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products
- Ideally possess engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge
- Hitachi, Komatsu & Liebherr experience highly desirable
- Solid diagnostic capabilities with the help of systems on computers
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- This role has a 7on / 7off roster, 12 hours per shift.
- You will need a locally valid driving permit
- You will need intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with High Horsepower engine products
- Reporting to the Cummins Toowoomba Manager
