A highly reputable, quality accredited Lawnton based company that provides a complete range of building maintenance services and repairs to residential dwellings, units, townhouses, and commercial buildings is looking for an Accounts and Payroll Assistant to perform accounting and clerical tasks related to AR, AP and payroll.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Create and maintain AR & AP files in xero.
- Review and verify invoices and payment requests.
- Data entry of invoices into Xero
- Set invoices up for payment.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, and perform payment runs.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Monthly account reconciliations.
- assist in running payroll
- General AR & AP support
**About You**:
- Competent with MS Office suite.
- Experience with xero.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in data entry and management.
- Exposure and understanding of business operations.
- Absolute discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience running end to end payroll
Potential for extension after the initial 2 month contract based on business needs.
