As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for performing simulations, designing and optimising high-quality treatment plans, and ensuring accurate delivery of Radiation Therapy based on the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. You will provide patient-centred care, educate patients throughout their treatment journey, and maintain detailed and accurate records. Additionally, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and uphold the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will be committed to continuous learning and professional development, thriving in a supportive and collaborative environment. With strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you will be proficient at mentoring and guiding colleagues while contributing to the advancement of the department. You will take a proactive approach to problem-solving and have a dedication to ensuring the best outcomes for patients.

A little about us.

Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, located on Yuin Country, is the main acute care hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children's Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre and sub-acute Mental Health Unit.

* Current AHPRA Registration

* This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 23 August 2026 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
