The Mike Reynolds Early Childhood Centre is a community-based centre located in beautiful Townsville, North Queensland and is managed by a dedicated Management Committee.
Established in 1993 we are a long childcare facility that includes a separate kindergarten building, and we cater for up to 71 beautiful children each day. We aim to provide a positive, safe and homely environment where children can thrive and families feel a sense of community.
We are seeking an Assistant Director who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Centre, who will work alongside the Centre Director to mentor educators and other staff in their daily practices, and who will promote positive relationships with the children, families, staff and the community.
About You
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood.
Management experience within an Early Childhood service including maintaining budgets, growing occupancy, staffing and team building.
Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of experienced and committed early childhood professionals.
You possess excellent communication skills which can be proven within an early childhood educative setting.
You enjoy a busy and collaborative team atmosphere and utilise '360 thinking' when problem-solving.
You share our passion for creating a positive educational environment where children can thrive.
Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
Current First Aid + CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
Commitment to health, hygiene, and safety practices.
