We are seeking an experienced chef to join our team in the Catering department at Mascot. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to approved specifications and recipes.
Responsibilities:
* The ideal candidate will have experience working in a bulk cooking environment and possess vocational training in culinary arts.
* You will be expected to maintain efficient sanitation services, garbage disposal, and chilling systems that comply with health regulations.
* Your tasks will include supervising Catering Assistants and unqualified chefs, ensuring that all food preparation areas are kept clean at all times.
* You will also be responsible for compiling reports and documents as required.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work across a 7-day roster.
Please note: This is not a 24-hour operation and there are no split shifts.
