Overview
We are seeking a skilled Application Specialist with robust expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse). The role focuses on designing, developing, implementing, and supporting business applications that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve user experience. The Application Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure ongoing application performance and support.
Responsibilities
- Application Development & Support: Design, build, and maintain custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven).
- Develop workflows and automation solutions using Power Automate.
- Integrate Power Apps with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Share Point, Teams, and other enterprise systems.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing applications.
- Business Engagement: Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse requirements; translate business needs into functional and technical specifications; conduct user training and provide ongoing application support.
- System Integration & Data Management: Configure and maintain data connections using Dataverse, SQL, and API integrations; ensure data quality, security, and compliance across applications; collaborate with IT teams to integrate Power Platform solutions with legacy and enterprise systems.
- Governance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to Power Platform governance, security, and compliance standards; promote adoption of low-code/no-code practices across the organisation; provide input into application lifecycle management, version control, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing solutions with Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven).
- Strong knowledge of Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Experience in integrating Power Apps with external data sources via APIs, SQL, and Share Point.
- Understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM) within Power Platform.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
