About your new role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of end-to-end manufacturing operations and lead performance across production, planning, and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be instrumental in driving efficiency, quality, and team engagement. You will oversee daily operations, develop strong production teams, and embed best-practice manufacturing processes to support ongoing growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing high-performing production teams across all shifts
* Overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are consistently met
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing lean manufacturing principles
* Managing production planning, scheduling, materials flow, and labour resourcing
* Monitoring KPIs and implementing strategies to improve productivity and operational performance
* Managing supplier relationships and coordinating procurement and materials planning
* Ensuring compliance with OH&S standards and fostering a strong safety culture
About you
You are a proactive and commercially minded Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for leading people. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to drive operational excellence.
You will bring:
* Proven experience in operations or production management within a manufacturing environment
* Joinery experience essential
* Strong leadership and team development capability
* Solid understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
* Experience in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination
* Strong knowledge of OH&S and safety compliance
