About the Role
This position is for an experienced Marine Engineer to join our team in a senior engineering role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing acquisition engineering advice regarding capability and systems on ABF Vessels.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide acquisition engineering advice regarding capability and systems on ABF Vessels.
* Lead or participate in Marine Engineer capability development activities as a subject matter expert.
* Understand and translate the Classification Society Requirements in order to meet AMSA, and Legislative and Regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* A Maritime Engineering Qualification from an Australian Institution; or a professional qualification gained elsewhere that satisfies Australian engineering professional requirements.
* The tertiary qualifications and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as a Chartered Engineer in a relevant engineering stream with IMarEST, Engineers Australia or other recognised professional society, or
* Have qualifications and experience sufficient to attain an Engineer Class 1 qualification issued by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).
* Significant experience acting in a senior engineering role.

To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen. You will also be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
* ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
* Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
