About The Role
The Cyber Security Architect will provide expert security advice across the design, build, and testing phases of the agency’s corporate and digital health systems. This role is pivotal in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets and contributes to the agency’s strategic objectives, including initiatives supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Apply cyber security best practices and Australian Government standards (ISM, PSPF) to support system certification and accreditation.
- Lead security architecture projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Develop and maintain secure design patterns and contribute to compliance activities (IRAP, TRA, security testing).
- Provide strategic leadership, mentoring, and coaching within a diverse team.
- Support procurement of security-related products and services.
- Deliver presentations, briefings, and technical documentation with a high level of independence.
- Build and manage stakeholder relationships to support secure delivery of systems and services.
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in ICT security/management or equivalent certifications (CISSP, SSCP, CISA).
- Proven experience applying cyber security best practices.
- Solid knowledge of ISM and PSPF standards.
- Must be an Australian citizen
