Grade 1/2 Pharmacist Role
The pharmacy service in a large hospital has an opportunity for two Grade 1/2 Pharmacists to join the team. We are seeking enthusiastic pharmacists with excellent communication skills who have experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
* Registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA is required, with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff and patients.
* Experience in providing clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting is preferred, consistent with the Standards of Practice of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia.
* Strong clinical drug knowledge and the ability to apply it appropriately to clinical settings are essential.
* Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams is also required.
* Promoting teamwork and supervising support staff are key aspects of the role.
* Organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to prioritise according to organisational needs, are necessary.
* Understanding and application of quality improvement methodology are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a wide range of pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients, including dispensing, distribution and manufacturing services with a focus on clinical services and advanced practice.
* Participate in quality improvement and professional development initiatives, as well as contribute to education and supervision of other staff and students.
