We are seeking an Experienced, Dynamic Oracle Production Support DBA to join our team in our office in West Perth.
You will work alongside a team of Senior SQL Server and Senior Oracle Database Administrators, with mentoring offered. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and security of a large number of Oracle production databases (both on-premise and IaaS/PaaS environments).
Training in other technologies such as Data CyberSecurity, SQL Server, MySQL, AI and PostgreSQL will be available. Gaining key vendor certification is encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities:
Monitor database system resources and performance ensuring that they meet agreed customer SLA's.
Action customer Service Requests, and problem/incident management.
Install, create, configure, upgrade, and monitor databases to ensure optimum performance.
Evaluate, recommend, manage, and execute patching and upgrades.
Manage database security and integrity, availability, backup, restore and recovery systems.
Provide 24 x 7 Database Production Support as needed.
Undertake customer projects as needed.
General Skills and Experience:
Strong experience as a production DBA supporting Oracle database environments.
Expertise in all major versions of Oracle and associated technology stacks.
Experience with Windows and Unix Operating System environments.
Advanced database problem solving skills.
Experience in database scripting, automation, and performance monitoring.
Ability and commitment to working on-call after hours as needed.
Ability and willingness to pick up and apply new technologies.
Ensure all existing systems are adequately documented to enable support.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Required Oracle Specific Experience:
Strong experience in complex environments with various data sources and endpoints including on premise, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS.
Experience with IaaS/PaaS environments: OCI, Azure and AWS.
Experience in the design, implementation, management, and testing of High Availability environments that include RAC, ASM and Data Guard.
Experience backup and recovery utilising RMAN.
Experience with Exadata and/or ODA implementation, administration and support.
Experience Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, Enterprise Manager, SOA, WebLogic and JVM.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Certification in Oracle and/or SQL Server Database Administration desirable.
