ABMARC is a specialist engineering consultancy that delivers innovative solutions across the automotive, transport, and energy sectors. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Vehicle Sourcing Support professional to join our Vehicle Sourcing Team.
This role provides operational and administrative support to ensure the efficient procurement, scheduling, and coordination of vehicles required for ABMARC’s engineering projects, testing programs, and client engagements. You will work closely with the Vehicle Sourcing Lead to streamline processes, maintain accurate records, and manage communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection and return of vehicles from suppliers.
- Maintain digital checklists, databases, and accurate records.
- Research and interpret detailed vehicle specification information.
- Provide basic technical assistance, including diagnostic scanning and processing.
- Review technical vehicle reports (e.g. wheel alignment data) and summarise findings.
- Liaise with dealerships to coordinate servicing and repairs.
- Manage photography, video processing, and digital storage.
- Populate detailed technical checklists and ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with clients regarding vehicle specifications and project approvals.
- Support special projects and ad hoc tasks as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in administration, logistics coordination, fleet management, or procurement.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database management.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Current police check and legal entitlement to work in Australia.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the automotive industry or engineering project requirements.
- Experience liaising with dealerships, hire companies, or vehicle suppliers.
- Understanding of compliance requirements for vehicle use in engineering or testing environments.
