Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly-motivated commercial analyst to join the National Retail team. You will support the team in all facets of its work to develop sales actions through analysis and insights.

This position offers an excellent opportunity in commercial analysis and strategic planning in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment. Success requires working effectively and efficiently across multiple functional areas.

Description

Understand the channel's business and strategy, and how variables such as historical performance, seasonality, promotions, sales initiatives and macro economic environment shapes business trends.

Support demand generation & back margin quarterly process by delivering analytics, insights, business cases and process management.

Drive strategic compelling consumer offers, demonstrating deep understanding of consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and business models. Insights and views on market wide offers, margins, services & residual values all in scope.

Closely observe the performance of existing offers across all sales channels, measuring elasticity, analysing commercial effectiveness, and continuously refining go-to-market approaches.

Identify and assess macro-level risks and opportunities impacting the Consumer Channel performance.

Proactively formulate and implement mitigation or acceleration plans in partnership with Account Managers.

Lead and pilot innovative business development programs. This could be financing, trade-in, leasing, bundles but ensuring relevance for channel partners and potential scalability across regions.

Guide internal and external executives in the development and execution of strategic partnerships. Embodying a skill in seeing opportunities, supporting integrated marketing and commercial plans. Enabling the Account Managers and partners the ability to close deals.

Collaborate closely with the Business Development team, Operations and Sales Finance teams to improve business performance by developing tools, reports, insights, and operational processes that elevate team capability and efficiency.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with channel partners alongside Account Managers. Align on a common language with partners on reporting and what success will look like.

Develop and maintain standardised reporting and ad-hoc analysis that supports all National Retail partners in Australia by building and managing analytical models.

Develop data sources to support reporting, insights and machine learning.

Apply statistical analysis and data quality evaluation to data models and sources.

Develop presentations that deliver key insights about the business and support recommended sales actions.

Maintain the highest standards in representing the Apple brand, with a focus on strategic impact, long-term partnership growth and customer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organisation

Proven attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy and consistency in analysis and reporting

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated collaborative working style with cross-functional and regional team

Knowledge of Python, SQL/Tableau a plus

Expertise in data visualisation tools for analysis, insight synthesis, report design and development, and executive presentations

Ability to handle ambiguity and make things happen

Exceptional commercial skills; ability to deeply understand channel partner economics, analyse commercial data and reports, create robust business cases supporting opportunities

Collaborative and inclusive engagement style that seeks to deliver superior outcomes, regardless of the status quo or perceived boundaries

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field

Min 8 years in business analysis, commercial strategy, or a data-driven role

Strong Excel proficiency, including ability to manage large datasets, build models, and perform complex analyses

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of deriving insights from data to drive business outcomes
