Financial Accountant - 14 month FTC Step into a role with real ownership, senior stakeholder exposure and a clear path to longer term opportunity. Our client is a global organisation with a central finance hub supporting multiple business units across APAC. They are looking for a Financial Accountant who enjoys accountability, quality reporting and improving the way things are done. The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will own core financial deliverables and lift reporting quality across the business. You will also manage an Assistant Accountant, guiding day to day priorities and ensuring high standards and timely output. What you will do: Close month end with accuracy including journals, accruals, revenue and expense recognition Prepare monthly financial and management reports with clear variance commentary Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and clear outstanding items promptly Support statutory and tax obligations including GST, FBT, payroll tax and audit requests Maintain the fixed asset register Improve processes and data integrity across finance systems Prepare and respond to audit requests and liaise with external auditors as required Build strong working relationships with finance, operations and external stakeholders Coach and oversee an Assistant Accountant What you bring: CA or CPA qualified Degree in Accounting/Finance Solid experience in financial accounting within complex environments (education background desirable) Confident across month end, reconciliations and management reporting Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems like Oracle, Netsuite Clear communicator with a proactive, solutions focused style A team mindset with the ability to work independently when needed Why should you apply: 14 month fixed term contract with strong potential to transition to permanent Opportunity to manage and develop an Assistant Accountant, stepping into people leadership in a supported environment Global scale with supportive people and a culture that values quality and delivery Hybrid working and genuine professional development If this sounds like the right next step in your finance career, apply now or reach out for a confidential discussion!
