Rural Youth Mental Health Program Internship
This internship opportunity for provisional psychologists enables them to make a real difference in the lives of young people by taking our vital service to rural communities.
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play an integral role in providing clinical therapeutic interventions and case coordination services to young people with or at risk of developing severe mental illness.
The role supports integrated access to primary health care, specialist mental health care, family support, educational/vocational engagement and psychological therapies within identified local areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver therapeutic intervention/counselling services to young people with complex mental health needs.
* Manage clients with complex mental health needs and develop networks with stakeholders to facilitate referral pathways.
* Engage with young people, families and carers who are at risk of developing severe mental health issues.
Requirements:
* Degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or similar.
* Current driver's license and Working with Children Check.
* Ability to work collaboratively with our team and other service providers.
