**About the Role**
Monash Health's Support Services have an exciting full time role on an ongoing basis within our General Services leadership team at Victorian Heart Hospital. This role is perfect for those with dynamic leadership skills and a positive attitude with a passion for being part of a collaborative patient-focused team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a General Services Superviso**r** to make their mark and lead a team of passionate and highly dedicated Patient Service Assistants (PSA) and Environmental Service Assistants (ESA). Reporting to the General Services Manager, this role also includes driving excellence across linen, pest control, washroom, and waste services to ensure operational objectives are met. As a valued and respected team member, you will be welcomed by a truly supportive and inspiring leadership team who encourage upskilling, growth and career development.
In this role, you will be rostered to work the following shifts each week:
- Thursday, Friday & Saturday 14.30 - 23.00
Key responsibilities of General Services Supervisor include but not limited to:
- Lead and mentor a team of general services talent
- Actively contribute to a positive team culture
- Roster management
- Achieve accreditation for areas of responsibility
- Meet service key performance indicators
- Deliver high-quality customer focused services
- Manage site-wide cleaning, waste, linen and patient movement requests
**About Us**
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
**About You**
To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Demonstrated leadership skills to supervise and mentor a team is essential
- Sound computer/digital skills required with roster management and Kronos knowledge desirable
- Agility in multi-tasking and prioritising
- Ensure high standard of cleaning, infection prevention best practice and cleaning requirements
- Understanding of Victorian Public Hospital Cleaning Standards
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent communication skills and able to implement written instructions and company procedures
- Understanding of patient identification procedures
- High standard of integrity and confidentiality required at all times
